Community Activities
At our Balham branch, we are proud to serve and support the Polish community within our local area.
Although new to the business, our funeral arranger Dani has already seen how meaningful it can be for families to speak in their own language during times of loss. Recently, she supported two Polish families when they came to collect their loved ones’ ashes, including an elderly lady who felt reassured by being able to have the conversation in Polish. Moments like this highlight how much comfort familiarity and understanding can bring.
We recognise the importance of making our services accessible and inclusive. As part of this, we are exploring ways to make our support clearer for Polish families in Balham, including displaying information about our services in Polish within our branch and adding Polish-language information to our website.
Supporting our community with compassion, respect and understanding remains at the heart of what we do.
